The company retains a small but experienced staff with specialist skills in immunology, protein sciences, GMP manufacturing and related regulatory affairs.
Gill obtained her PhD in Immunology from the University of London. Postdoctoral research experience investigating the development of immune cell-based cancers and mechanisms underlying cancer gene regulation pathways was obtained at the University of Glasgow, UK and the University of Dundee Wellcome Trust Biomedical Research Centre, UK. As an expert in the field of Flow Cytometry, she held senior scientific research positions at Cyclacel, Dundee, U.K. and Genesis Research and Development, New Zealand for several years prior to joining Innate Immunotherapeutics. Research publications are in the fields of transplantation and cancer molecular and cellular immunobiology.
Mr Carter has more than 30 years of expertise in professional accounting, investment banking, corporate finance and commercial / strategic planning roles. He has served as a member of the board of directors of NASDAQ listed Unilife Corporation since April 2006. He has also served as chief financial officer and company secretary of Unilife Medical Solutions Limited. Jeff has been a chief financial officer of various other publicly listed healthcare companies and has also held senior positions with Coca Cola, Santos, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and Touche Ross.
Janette has broad business development experience in the life sciences sectors across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific, most recently for QRxPharma Ltd where she completed five licensing transactions. Prior, Janette held the role of Managing Director at Pacific Pharmaceuticals Ltd (now Mylan New Zealand Ltd) and led the restructuring of New Zealand’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing company, outsourcing production of 130 pharmaceutical products into six countries. She founded and successfully sold two diagnostics companies based in Singapore and Malaysia and founded a pharmaceutical company in Singapore, managing the development of an anti-microbial drug from the acquisition of the patent through to completion of a Phase 2a clinical study. Originally trained as a medical laboratory scientist, Janette holds degrees in marketing and finance, and a Doctorate in Business and Administration wherein her research focused on the strategic management of biotech commercialization.
Margaret has a New Zealand Certificate of Science (Chemistry) and a Graduate Diploma in Quality Management (with distinction) from the Auckland Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Innate Immunotherapeutics, Margaret worked in the pharmaceutical industry with Warner Lambert/Parke Davis and as a consultant assisting companies with the implementation and auditing of ISO 9000 quality systems.
Ken has a New Zealand Certificate of Science and a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. He has wide experience in the processing of human and animal blood. His previous position was at the Auckland Regional Blood Centre as technologist responsible for the production of human plasma fractions, such as Factor VIII. He has experience in medical and quality control laboratories, and in the installation and testing of cleanroom air filtration systems.
